Change the sentence to: Prior to the centre confirming a place for your child, parents/guardians are encouraged to visit Chuckles Childcare. On visiting the centre you will be given an enrolment form and handbook. If you decide to enrol your child at our centre, you will need to return the completed enrolment form, along with a copy of your child’s birth certificate and immunisation form. We will do our best to accommodate all enrolment applications, should we not be able to offer the required days, and you will be placed on our waiting list and notified of vacancies as they arise. A minimum of 2 enrolled days is suggested, this is to support each child’s involvement in the development programs offered, and to assist in the development of their friendships.
We recommend visiting Chuckles Childcare with your child to become familiar with the centre and staff. Ann (proprietor) or Mel (manager) will provide a tour of the centre and relevant classrooms. Prior to your child starting in childcare, you will need to contact the Department of Human Services (DHS ~ formally named; Centrelink or Family Assistance Office). This is to assess and arrange the Child Care Subsidy (CCS). Chuckles Childcare will be required to charge the full daily rate amount until the CCS is approved and received from DHS.
To confirm a booking, you will need to return a completed enrolment form, along with your child's birth certificate and immunisation form. If you need any help completing this form please ask.
Once enrolment days have been confirmed, you and your child/ren will be invited to attend the centre for FREE introduction and settling sessions. This is an important process to enable family members and children to build; confidence in their new surroundings and important relationships with the educators. Every child reacts differently when attending childcare centres or when leaving their parents/carers for the first time. Some children will settle quickly, whilst for others, it can be a challenging time. Please be assured that our educators will do everything they can to guide you through this and support your child/ren whilst in our care.
